A space for women to pause and share practise: supporting the transition of “peri-menopause” with Amy Hughes & Ali Gunning. Held at Lime House Yoga, near Newquay 3-7pm on Saturday 21st Nov.
We hold a welcoming space for you to ground, shed and deeply rest. A journey of mantra, breath, movement, nidra, sound, ritual. A gathering of practical tools however this transition is expressing for you. Includes a sharing of delicious cacao elixir, treats, gift bag.
Autumn is a season for drawing inward and letting go. Perimenopause is an autumn for our bodies and souls. It is our threshold season and we cannot deny its turbulent winds. We sense deeply that we are no longer in full summer fertility, not yet in the quiet winter of menopause. It is a liminal season for shedding, composting, unraveling and regeneration.
Practises here are tailored for all abilities but we appreciate knowing in advance of any significant health issues which may need additional support or modifications (see below).
Please advise before booking if you are pregnant or if the following applies:
Tinnitus or hearing isuses, pace maker, metal implants from recent surgery, epilepsy
Significant mental health issues, PTSD or the impact of trauma
If you are recovering from an operation or course of treatment
Injuries or health conditions affecting your yoga practise
Yoga equipment is provided at Lime House but we recommend you bring warm socks, a pillow for your head and eye pillow or scarf to shade your eyes during the sound journey. Best to wear comfy layers that allow you to move easily and support temperature changes. You are of course welcome to bring your own blankets, yoga mat or any items that help you feel snug and settled.
