Ali’s way of teaching is gentle, passionate, fun, intuitive. She has a wealth of knowledge and vast experience, and a gift of sharing that easily… she definitely operates from the heart and is a fantastic facilitator.

Intuitive working, expert guidance

You will be held and supported as part of a small community (max 10 students) by me (Ali). My journey with sound was sparked by mantra meditation in 2009 in India and I have been offering healing sound for groups and individuals since 2012. I have trained with many of the leading voices of our times: Don Conreaux, Sheila Whitaker, Sarah Gregg, John Stuart Reid, Tone of Life (Tom and Abby), The College of Sound Healing, Acutonics Integrated Medicine as well as singing bowl masters in Nepal.

These great teachings have been integrated into my own intuitive way of working, building a one to one sound therapy practise and retreat business in Cornwall (Resonant Being). I also bring to the sound over 20 years of dedicated study and practise within the yoga traditions. Since 2020 I have been mentoring sound practitioners, teaching sound immersion weekends and offering private trainings. In March 2025 the first ‘Weaving sound, holding space’ 18 months training was born, and the second cohort began in March 2026.

In 2027 I will open up the final chapter of this comprehensive training so that qualified practitioners can join for CPD hours; honing their skills in personalised sound healing.

I am a member of the College of Sound Healing and Resonant Being is a registered training school with the Complementary Medical Association (CMA); all trainings are accredited by the CMA, which gives you assurance around the standard of teaching and assessment. Whilst training and once certificated you will be able to gain professional insurance through the CMA and other reputable providers.

How the CPD course flows

Over 5 days we will dive deep into weaving sound and holding space for one to one sound therapy.

We will gather over two long weekends in Cornwall to work with healing instruments like gongs, singing bowls (crystal/ metal), flutes, drum, lyre, sistrum, rainstick, Shruti box as well as your own voice and instruments from nature.

We will focus on specific techniques, sample flows and contraindications so that you can confidently apply these instruments to a one to one setting (and for couples).

We will discuss and evolve our space holding within the intimate context of personalised sound therapy including working in a trauma sensitive context.

The style of learning is interactive and experiential; you will observe techniques and then practise them. You will observe treatments offered by Ali and then exchange treatments with other trainees. Feedback and sharing is an integral part of the learning.

All instruments and equipment are provided but you are welcome to bring your own.

All course content is delivered live, supported by a manual, practise recordings and sharing circles.

You will be expected to have a high level of self responsibility around your own self care/practise as well as regularly attending sound events and receiving one to one sound therapy.

Ali is really knowledgeable as well as very approachable and considerate. I would highly recommend working and training with Ali. You are always made to feel comfortable, listened to, relaxed and in the hands of an expert. All this in an amazing location.

Ali has such a lovely calm energy, is so happy to listen to any questions and this is all done in a safe and respectful environment. Ali is so encouraging and gives you space to shine your own light when playing with the instruments. If anybody wants to learn more about gongs, singing bowls or any sound bath instruments I would definitely recommend Ali as she has ignited my curiosity for (offering) sound baths. Thank you so much Ali for a magical time with you and the instruments.
