Week five content
You will find below the yoga practise as video and the sound journey audio which is also downloadable onto your device’s audio library e.g. itunes. The sound journey works best with headphones or decent speakers and ideally you have the volume at 50-70%, it really doesn’t have to be loud to be effective, in fact the body likes moderate volume.
A spacious yoga practise including sun salutations embodying the qualities we need.
Deepening practise
This week was all about space. You can work with any postures in a more spacious way. Try moving, breathing, embodying different qualities within a sun salutation or any flow that you enjoy (I would traditionally save sun salutations for the morning time - moon salutations can also work well here). I often find the sun gong (which features in this week’s SJ track) lovely in the mornings.
The recommended inquiry, whether you journal or sit/ walk/ move/ breathe with it, would be:
What space do I need at this time in my life? How does that look/ feel?
What might I have to change/ negotiate/ say no to in order to claim that space?
